ILT International Conference on Interconnected Learning and Teaching

The ILT Association for Foreign Languages, with the support of academic institutions, as well as international and local partners, aims to organize an international conference every two years, dealing with the various challenges and opportunities in the field of foreign language didactics. In the presentday age the appearance of new digital forms of intercultural communication, of knowledge transfer and of data illustration and storage, the accelerated multimedia development of the society and of the labor market alike influence the general framework of the transfer of knowledge and skills in the didactics of foreign languages, thus requiring interconnected approaches in the expansion of intercultural skills when learning foreign languages, both in schools and in universities.

The ILT International Conference is intended to enable a constructive dialogue about the current trends and challenges of interconnected learning, while aiming at creating a genuine and productive network between teachers of different foreign languages, between representatives of various public and private educational institutions and between representatives of the labor market. In order to make this extensive and interconnected dialogue truly relevant, we look forward to papers and scientific contributions that could provide not only an impulse to the inter and transdisciplinary foreign language research and teaching, but also an overview of the implications upon the practice and the tendencies regarding the educational policy on a regional, national and international level. The focus of the discussions should lie on current research trends and the associated theory / model formation, as well as on the latest technological and multimedia challenges for educational policy and practice in the context of foreign language teaching and research.

The event brings together scholars, educators, researchers, and practitioners who explore and share from their experience the role of foreign languages in a rapidly evolving role, driven by technological advancements and the increasing interconnectedness of global communities. Learning and teaching foreign languages remain essential for fostering meaningful global connections and promoting a balanced, inclusive approach to the future of communication and learning.
